The delegation of Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) thinks that people’s will is reflected in the result of the snap presidential election, which took place in Kazakhstan on Sunday.
It was announced by the Head of Delegation, Julia Levochkina in Astana, according to Kazakhstan-News.
At the same time, the delegation showed a certain anxiety about unequal electoral conditions,
as well as the appeals of some political forces to boycott the election.
The leader of the PACE delegation mentioned, that in spite of a moderate progress
in comparison with last election, Kazakhstan should improve some conditions to gain the status of true democracy.
At the same time, the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) delegation thinks that the presidential election in Kazakhstan was not held on the proper level.
