The Head of the election observation mission of ODIHR/OSCE, Daan Everts, announcing the preliminary results of monitoring during election campaign on Monday, said, that Kazakhstan’s state institutions brought pressure on the voters in order to secure high turnout on the presidential election.
‘During direct observation we marked a rather strong pressure on the voters. It was found out in state institutions, universities, military bodies, hospitals’, said Everts, explaining that it was done to secure high turnout.
‘We had cases, when state institutions demanded from the heads to secure appearance
of employees, that everyone must vote’, he said.
