The Open Dialogue Foundation, at the request of Onet’s correspondent in Ukraine Marcin Wyrwał, is running a fundraising to buy a pickup truck for Ukrainian drone operators. The entire amount for the vehicle has already been raised, but the fundraising is still ongoing to be able to fund a drone and other necessary equipment for the battalion from near Slovyansk in the Donbass.
“Dear ones! For the first time in my life I am asking you for money! I have spent the last few days with an extraordinary battalion of drone operators. These brave boys, barely in their twenties and rarely with combat training, are on the front line to do their job. Under constant shelling, the lifespan of one car to get them to the front lines is about a month.” – urged the Onet correspondent.
It turns out that a car carrying drone operators near Slovyansk in the Donbass was fired upon. It can fail to work at any time.
“That’s why we need to buy them a new one ASAP so they can keep going!” — convince the organisers of the fundraising.
The fundraising continues
The fundraising account currently holds PLN 105,850, which is more than two-thirds of the target. There are still 28 days to go before the fundraising is complete, and more than 1,000 people have already contributed to its success.

According to the organisers, “we raised the entire amount for the car in one evening”. However, they do not want to stop there. As they report, “now we want to pack it to the roof with the necessary equipment for the brave battalion: bulletproof vests, helmets, pads and whatever else we can get our hands on to keep the boys safe and running smoothly! What’s more, we want to give them a new drone, because unfortunately they are regularly shot down by the Russians.”
