Polish radio Jedynka has broadcast a programme about the gestures of solidarity with Ukrainian people. The guests Krzysztof Rzyman invited to the studio were Draginja Nadażdin, Director of Amnesty International Poland, and Tomasz Czuwara, Head of the Press Office of the Open Dialogue Foundation.
The Foundation’s representative spoke of the work of volunteers in Kiev documenting every type of repression in Ukraine. Then the Foundation’s report on what had been going on in Kiev on February 18 and 19 was sent to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels. “This is aimed at putting pressure on politicians later”, said Tomasz Czuwara on the Sygnały dnia programme.
Apart from this, Amnesty International Poland and Open Dialogue Foundation provide legal assistance to Ukrainians who are seeking refuge in Poland, helping them to legalise their stay. The guests of the programme explained how badly financial support is needed.
