Tomasz Czuwara, interviewed by Superstacja about Release of Priest Abducted in Ukraine
29 May 2014|Editorial office
Tomasz Czuwara, head of the Foundation’s press office, commented, on Superstacja, on the abduction by separatists in Ukraine of the priest Paweł Witek. Witek was abducted in Donetsk where he was to join an ecumenical service. After negotiations conducted by Polish diplomats and church heads, the priest was released.
Czuwara considered Witek’s release to be a success of Polish diplomacy, “I wish to congratulate the Ministry of Foreign Affairs most sincerely on its very speedy reaction and on the safe and sound release of the priest. This is a genuinely big success. People working with our Foundation were in terrorists’ hands and these were very grave situations.”
