A quarter of a century passed on 25th June since the massacre on Tiananmen Square. In response to the silence of the Chinese authorities, 7 Polish NGOs appealed to commemorate the victims of the tragic events. An open letter was also sent by the Open Dialogue Foundation, paying tribute to the Tiananmen victims and appealing for a discontinuation of violence and for the acknowledgement of history.
The chair of the Foundation’s Council, Bartosz Kramek, in the evening edition of Panorama news commented on the Polish opposition action, “The principal concepts are about calling on the Chinese authorities to condemn what happened.”
