Yevhen Nyshchuk, Ukraine’s Minister of Culture visited the refugee support centre, Ukrainian World (Ukraiński Świat), and Maidan Museum in Warsaw.
Ukrainian actor, Yevhen Nyshchuk was an active supporter of the Orange Revolution 10 years ago. In late 2013, when the protests in Kiev erupted, he became the spokesman for EuroMaidan. When the protests ended and Yanukovych fled, Nyshchuk was appointed Minister of Culture in Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s government.
During his official visit to Poland in May 2014, Yevhen Nyshchuk met with the Polish Minister of Culture, Bogdan Zdrojewski, and EuroMaidan sotniks. He also visited Ukraiński Świat. On May 30 Nyshchuk witnessed an exhibition at Ukraiński Świat, a show of traditional Cossack war dance “hopak”, and a short recital.
