The ODF’s expert Viktor Maziarchuk appeared on “Важно. День” on BTB, where he talked about the situation in Donetsk and Lugansk.
The show’s experts estimated the extent of the damage and destruction in Donetsk and Lugansk, stressing the need for these cities to be rebuilt. They also pondered over the idea of an aid programme that would help the inhabitants return to their normal lives. A number of other questions were answered, such as how much it would cost to rebuild the destroyed regions, how to support small and medium-sized businesses; and who can provide support in Ukraine.
ODF’s expert Viktor Maziarchiuk estimated the damage in Lugansk at 1,4bn hryvnia. He also listed a number of ODF’s projects, including monitoring of the efficiency of spending of the resources coming to Ukraine from other countries and banks. The aim of this monitoring exercise is to gather information and explain to the general public what the funding is to be used for and what results it will bring about.
