At 1 p.m., on the 7th September, a global protest is to be held against the sale of Mistral ships to Russia by France.
Its initiators – the “No Mistrals for Putin” organisation – are encouraging protests on that day outside Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the states who officially opposed the supply of the ships to Russia, in a bid to encourage them to exert pressure on France. In parallel, activists in France will be picketing in the Saint Nazaire port where 400 Russian marines are being trained on board the Mistrals.
