Agnieszka Góralska, correspondent to the Open Dialogue Foundation, speaks of the action by the Kyiv authorities on Republika TV. The action’s goal was to clear the Independence square of the tent town.
“The city authorities have repeatedly undertaken attempts to remove the revolutionary Maidan remnants. On August 7th, the action of clearing the tent town was joined by the police and the special Kyiv battalion. The attempt, however, was then quashed. And today, the tent town has been dismantled – but at the hands of the community, and not police officers. – Góralska explains on Telewizja Republika.
