TVN 24 described the case of Oleg I, the Ukrainian who attempted to carry 551 helmets across the Polish-Ukrainian border, for which he is facing a sentence of up to 10 years.
Polish regulations treat the transport of vests and helmets just as if one was driving a tank – Tomasz Czuwara, spokesman for the Open Dialogue Foundation comments. The Foundation, which also delivers humanitarian aid to Ukraine (bulletproof vests, CELOX medi-packs) provided legal assistance to Oleg I.
