Since 24 February 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine, we have been doing everything to support our friends and neighbours. Thanks to your support our aid has included, among others, 67 transports with which we have delivered 71,211 pieces of protective and life-saving equipment!
The aid mentioned above included:
● 1117 helmets;
● 4 ventilators;
● 5 614 bulletproof vests (+ 587 ballistic inserts);
● 166 night vision and thermal imaging devices;
● 46 reconnaissance drones;
● 86 portable radios;
● 136 fire extinguishers;
● 3 ambulances (+ equipment for a third);
● 1,598 field beds;
● 1,823 anti-bedsore mattresses;
● 5 off-road vehicles;
and thousands of pieces of tactical equipment and medical supplies, including 14,290 medical protective suits, 31,662 sanitizers, 59,040 medical masks.
Additional aid was delivered to Ukrainian children, who received from us 26,482 school supplies, 1,930 packs of nappies and 1,244 portions of specialised milk for premature babies. We also distributed 20,500 hot soups to refugees at the border and to soldiers on the front line.
Another, equally important part of our work is helping refugees who fled to Poland to escape the war. The ODF team and a group of more than 100 of our volunteers have helped 11 853 people*:
– 3 502 of them we relocated to Western countries,
– and some 8 351 found a new home in Poland
*accompanied by 236 dogs, cats and other pets.
4 801 refugees received support via our helpline, 315 people were provided with meals for 2 months. As many as 2 360 refugees were provided with temporary shelter through our partnership with Airbnb.org, and 1 200 visitors from Ukraine benefited from our cultural assistance. During this time, 5 babies were born under our care, to whom we provided the necessary care and assistance in solving hospital and administrative issues. Our psychologists provided assistance to 71 refugees. There are now 14 mothers and 25 children living in 3 Houses of Independent Mothers, which function under the professional guidance of psychologists.
And all of this thanks to the PLN 30.8 million you have donated to our fundraisers, via direct donations, gifts in kind and services and to our collection boxes in theatres and cinemas which joined our campaign!
