On September 17, the anniversary of 1939 Soviet invasion of Poland, together with the Ukrainian community involved in Euromaidan Warsaw and the Ossów Local-government Cultural Institution “Gates of the Battle of Warsaw, 1920”, we stood just outside of the town where the Miracle on the Vistula happened.
”We, as Ukrainians, believe that just like all those years ago this town of Ossów saw a miracle, we too shall have our own miracle and will manage to put an end to Russian aggression”–said Natalia Panchenko.
Natalia Panchenko of Euromaidan Warsaw explained why Ukrainians chose to visit that very place on that very day: “Ukraine has many friends, and Poland is one of them. On this day we wanted to show our solidarity with Poles’’.
