On Sunday, a March of Solidarity with Ukraine passed through the streets of Warsaw. During the march, its participants paid tribute to the heroes of the Nebesna Sotnya. The march marked the opening of ceremonies organised on the occasion of the first anniversary of EuroMaidan by the Open Dialogue Foundation.
The March of Solidarity with Ukraine set off from Plac Zamkowy (Castle Square) and went on to the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland where Ukraine’s anthem was sung.
One year after the start of EuroMaidan, the impossible has happened in Ukraine – there is no Yanukovych or Party of the Regions, and the country is tightening its bonds with the West. However, the challenges Ukraine faces are even greater today due to the fighting which goes on there.
