Alfredo Arpaia, the head of the Italian league for Human Rights (LIDU, Lega Italiana dei Diritti Dell’Uomo) and a member of the International Organisation for Human Rights (FIDH) has addressed Italian authorities with regard to the case of Nadiya Savchenko.
In the letter addressed, among others, to the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chairman of the Committee for Human Rights in the Italian Senate Arpaia drew attention to the illegal kidnapping of the aviator from Ukraine. At the same time, he inquired about the measures taken by the Italian authorities in this case.
