Very recently, we were all “Charlie” in solidarity with the victims of Paris. Now, residents of Warsaw have posted under the hashtag #JeSuisVolnovakha, in support of the families of civilians killed when separatists shot at a bus in Volnovakha.
At Plac Zamkowy, we invited passers-by to have group photographs taken as a sign of solidarity with those killed and to appeal for peace. As well as Ukrainians living in Warsaw, as well as other Poles, the campaign was also joined by tourists from the US. Afterwards, candles were lit in front of the Ukrainian Embassy.
