Ukrainian MP Andriy Kozhemiyakin, the Head of Committee for legal basis of law enforcement, has addressed the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Viktor Shokin regarding the revision of extradition requests received by Ukraine.
Andriy Kozhemiyakin stressed the importance of avoiding aiding politically motivated criminal persecutions with the use of extradition requests. He alluded to the appeal sent by the Open Dialogue Foundation to the Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Groisman when addressing the General Prosecutor Shokin. The appeal by the Open Dialogue Foundation was made with regard to the necessity for a review of extradition requests received by Ukraine from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan, as requests from these countries can be politically motivated.
