Natalia Panchenko of the Open Dialogue Foundation spoke on the Uwaga! programme about the many hours of queuing at the Department for Foreigners’ Affairs office and the corruption and bureaucracy faced by foreigners in Poland.
Panchenko talked about the formalities relating to legal stay in Poland at the office situated on Długa Street in Warsaw. As a result of these long queues, new business flourishes there: some sell their places in the queue; others use their connections with clerks to get to the desk faster.
