The Open Dialogue Foundation delivered “a quarter of a million zloty worth of urgent aid”
to Kherson. This city has suffered a major environmental and humanitarian disaster as a
result of a terrorist attack by Russia.
The Open Dialogue Foundation helps Ukraine
The Open Dialogue Foundation — is an organisation that was established on the initiative of
Lyudmyla Kozlovska. Its goal is the protection of human rights, democracy and the rule of
law in the post-Soviet area. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it
has been supporting refugees in Poland and has already provided assistance worth over PLN
35 million, in particular in the form of protective equipment for the Ukrainian armed forces.
Now it has decided to help the Ukrainians from Kherson. This city — as a result of a terrorist
attack by Russia — is currently experiencing the biggest environmental and humanitarian
disaster in decades.
The Foundation donated goods worth a quarter of a million zlotys to Ukrainians, including
motor pumps, power generators, life jackets, a raft, 30,000 water purification tablets, disinfectants and cleaning products. This also includes pumps and power generators worth PLN 100,000 donated by the city of Warsaw.
“We were amazed at how much this — seemingly symbolic — aid means to regional and city
authorities,” the organisation reported.
Ukrainians know how to repay kindness with kindness. For this, as it turned out, “the only
such support Ukraine has received from Poland” Marcin Mycielski from the Foundation, as
well as mayor Rafał Trzaskowski and deputy mayor Tomasz Bratek were awarded the
Ukrainian Order “Unity and Will” by deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
“However, this help would not have been possible without you — our donors! Both those
who supported the fundraising campaign at http://zrzutka.pl/Dniepr and those who donated
gifts in kind, such as Medilab, which donated 3 pallets of disinfectants. So it is YOU who
deserve the orders in the first place!“, adds the Open Dialogue Foundation.
The war continues
The war in Ukraine continues. When will it end? Much will depend on the USA. The election
campaign overseas is currently underway. Joe Biden will have to prove that he is in control
of the situation in the world. His main rival, who is again Donald Trump, is constantly
attacking him for mishandling the situation in the international arena. Therefore, the
incumbent president will have to show the voters otherwise. It is possible that he will try to
end the conflict on our eastern border. The question is with what effect for Kyiv. After all,
this could mean forcing our neighbour to sign a peace treaty that is disadvantageous for
Ukraine.
