Meet Mila, one of the younger residents of a Home for Independent Mums, who celebrated her 7th birthday last week.
Mila is an extremely talented girl — before the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine, she was training in artistic gymnastics. After 24 February 2022, Mila and her mum fled the country from Russian shelling to Warsaw and were taken under the wing of Agata Dziopa, the founder and coordinator of the project “Homes for Independent Mums”. Mila decided that the war would not prevent her from doing sports, so she is training in the Polish gymnastics section, and in September another challenge awaits her — studying at a Polish school.
We take this opportunity to congratulate this brave and ambitious girl on her birthday and wish her perseverance, success, strong friendship, health and fulfilment of all her (not only gymnastic) wishes!
