The consequences of the armed conflict in Ukraine for the European security were discussed between 28 and 29 May, 2015 in Warsaw, Poland during an event co-financed by the Ministry of Defence of Poland. Organized by the Institute of International Relations, National Defense University (AON), the debate gathered experts from Central and Eastern Europe, including from Poland and Ukraine. One of the partons of the event was the Open Dialogue Foundation. Alongside the plenary session, debates took places under two thematic sessions devoted to the effects of the conflict for Russia and Ukraine, as well as Poland, NATO and the European Union.
The conference was opened by the Rector of the National Defence Academy (AON), Prof. Dariusz Kozerawski, along with the Rector of the National Carpathian University of Vasyl Stefanyk, Prof. Igor Tsependa. Other speakers included representatives of the Centre for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw, Director Jan Malicki; Director of the Institute of International Relations, National Defense University (AON) Colonel, PhD. Ryszard Niedzwiecki and the Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Defence of Poland, PhD. Robert Kupiecki.
