Is there a risk of another revolution growing out from the social discontent in relation to the political and economic situation in Ukraine? What is the attitude of civilians from the territories over which Kiev regained control towards volunteer battalions and the current Ukrainian government? How to strengthen the public trust in the state? Are there any objective sources of information, reporting on what is happening in the so-called “Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics?” These and many other questions were asked during the meeting of the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights, which took place on 17 June, 2015 in Brussels, Belgium. The exchange of views was devoted to the current situation of human rights in Ukraine in the areas of the conflict. The meeting was attended, among others, by the expert of the Open Dialogue Foundation, Agnieszka Piasecka.
