The situation in Kyiv requires an immediate response. Thermometers in the Ukrainian capital are showing –17°C, and in these freezing conditions as many as 70% of the city’s residents remain cut off from electricity and heating.
People are sheltering in unheated apartments and basements. They are layering clothes just to keep their bodies warm. Above them, Russian drones and missiles are flying, deliberately destroying energy infrastructure.
A lack of electricity means no possibility of cooking a hot meal, phones running out of power, and losing contact with loved ones during an attack.
That is why we are organizing a fundraiser for a very specific purpose: to purchase and send 100 power generators and power stations to Kyiv. These devices save lives. A generator makes it possible to heat the rooms where elderly people and children are sheltering. It allows water to be boiled. It provides light, which in the reality of war restores at least a sense of safety.
We are asking for your support. Poles know what solidarity means in times of hardship. Every złoty brings us closer to sending a transport of life-saving equipment. For us, it is a gesture of support — for them, a real chance to survive the winter.
