We are proud to announce that, under the “Senate – Polish Diaspora 2025” grant competition, the Open Dialogue Foundation has been awarded PLN 30,000 to implement the “Crowdfunding Course for the Polish Diaspora” project, funded as part of the 2025 programme of the Chancellery of the Senate of the Republic of Poland supporting the Polish diaspora and Poles living abroad.
The project is designed for leaders of Polish diaspora organisations and individuals responsible for fundraising. Its aim is to strengthen the financial independence of Polish diaspora communities by providing participants with practical skills in creating and promoting successful crowdfunding campaigns on both Polish and international platforms.
The project includes a series of online workshops for leaders of Polish diaspora organisations and their fundraising professionals, designed to help them achieve greater financial independence through effective crowdfunding strategies.
Participants will learn how to use leading Polish crowdfunding platforms – including Zrzutka.pl, Siepomaga.pl, and Patronite – as well as international platforms such as GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and Patreon. The course will also explore fundraising opportunities offered by social media platforms, including Facebook and YouTube.
The workshops will be led by Marcin Mycielski, an expert with extensive experience in crowdfunding campaigns that have raised more than PLN 48 million. Upon completing the course, participants will be able to independently design, manage, and promote fundraising campaigns, thereby strengthening the long-term sustainability and development of Polish diaspora organisations.
