The United States are planning to introduce unclear amendments to the article 41, concerning the issue of hacking. According to international non-governmental organisations working on privacy on the web, such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), these changes can radically broaden the rights of the American authorities to access our data.
EFF has launched a protest campaign. By clicking on the banner below you can directly address members of the Congress about the issue or undersign the petition opposing the upcoming amendments.
If the US Congress doesn’t undertake any action, the amended version of the article 41 will come into force on 1 December 2016. That’s why we’re asking for your help! Share this information, sign the petition or contact members of the Congress.
