Bruna holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Palermo and a Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Warsaw, where she focused on the European Neighbouring Countries. During her studies, she extensively explored the international legal framework underpinning EU migration management and the EU policies on migration and asylum, and she hopes to continue advocating for a more human rights-based approach to the phenomenon.
She was previously an intern at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and a trainee lawyer back in Italy. A staunch advocate for civic liberties, she coordinated her team of volunteers to gather signatures for the referendum campaign on legal euthanasia launched by the Luca Coscioni Association for the freedom of scientific research.
In her free time, she has a passion for sports and movies.
