A keen collector of academic prestige, Kasia studied Political Science in Russia and Eastern Europe at UCL. She also holds a double-degree in Economics and Political Science from the Warsaw School of Economics and Warsaw University. To top it off, she is a Frederic Bastiat Fellow with the Mercatus Institute at George Mason University.
A committed classical liberal, Kasia has worked in a number of think-tanks, with the list including the likes of Cato Institute and Civil Development Forum. She is interested in the post-Soviet sphere, mostly Russian politics, but also the Eastern European post-communist transition period of the 1990s. She is also proud to have called herself a research assistant to prof. Leszek Balcerowicz, the author of the Polish rapid jump to a capitalist system.
Kasia is currently focusing on issues of human rights, democratisation and the rule of law with the Open Dialogue Foundation at its Brussels office. When not at work, she is a voracious reader and a real fashionista (a great purloiner of sweaters).
