Both the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine have signed European Union Association Agreements (AA), agreeing to fulfill European Union requirements regarding the implementation of extensive reforms.

The Support for SMEs in Accessing EU Markets project is aimed at helping to redirect Ukrainian business from Russian distribution markets to the European ones – as well as giving recommendations as to how small and medium-sized enterprises take advantage of the Ukraine–EU Association Agreement.
