A meeting with Ukrainian businessmen – Yuriy Shatynsky and Ihor Haras – was held at Ukrainian World on the 21st April. Yuriy and Ihor are the owners of the Chumak Company which is a leading Ukrainian manufacturer of premium quality furniture.

The First Ladies of Poland and Ukraine – Anna Komorowska and Maryna Poroshenko – met, in Kiev, with participants from the Revolution of Dignity and families of the Nebesnaya Sotnya and of other activists who perished during the Maidan protests.

The Ukrainian media reported on the campaign organised jointly by several Ukrainian NGOs, including the Open Dialog Foundation. The people gathered there said a prayer together to commemorate the Maidan victims of February 2014 and pleaded for the ratification of the Rome Statute

The Maidan Library is a social initiative of the Dignity Revolution participants who established it in the Ukrainian House in January 2014. It soon became a major landmark on the Maidan map, a centre of debates and exchanges of ideas.

“The nomination of Shokin is a shock” – shouted the participants of the manifestation in front of the Ukrainian Embassy in Warsaw.

A year on from the outbreak of protests on the Maidan, Krzysztof Bukowski from the Open Dialog Foundation told TVP Info about the conditions under which the ODF carried out its mission in the streets of Kiev.

Together with the Belarus Solidarity Movement ‘Razam’ and the Ukrainian Community ‘Volnytsia’, the Open Dialog Foundation organised on the Maidan, a rally to commemorate the first victims of the Ukrainian protests.

In Kiev, a photo exhibition was opened to mark the anniversary of the shootings at the peaceful protest in the city of Zhanaozen, Kazakhstan. The exhibition will be open from 12 December, 2014 to 21 December, 2014.

The TVP info portal describes the situation regarding the plaque installed at the place, where until recently, the statue of the “Sleeping Four” was to be placed. The plaque was to commemorate the victims of Maidan and ATO.

Tomasz Czuwara, spokesman for the Open Dialog Foundation, in an interview with Polsat News about the statue on Wileński Square and on the matter of a rather large plaque at the former place of the “Sleeping Four” statue.
