On the Kiev Maidan a manifestation took place on 20 February under the slogan of “Never again”. The people gathered there paid tribute to the memory of the victims of last year’s protests and pleaded for the ratification of the Rome Statute

Ukraine signed the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (Rome Statute) on January 20, 2000. It was then that the ratification process began; however, it stalled in June 2001 when the provisions of the Rome Statute were found to be in contravention of state laws.
