Representatives of the NGO Donbas SOS (Kyiv, Ukraine), working for the protection of human rights, as well as providing information and humanitarian aid to Ukrainian citizens who suffered during the armed conflict in the eastern part of the country, visited Warsaw.

On Friday 1 July, 2016 the National Audiovisual Institute in Warsaw hosted the Polish premiere of the Chernobyl VR Project, created by The Farm 51, a Polish company from the region of Silesia. The project has taken on a new character, initially not foreseen by the creators.

“The Ukrainian World, situated at the corner of the Świętokrzyska Street and Nowy Świat in Warsaw, closed its doors after two and a half years of activity. The centre was helping Ukrainians and promoting the Ukrainian culture”, writes Gazeta Wyborcza.

The event, organised , among others, by the Euromaidan Warsaw and the Open Dialogue Foundation, was not only reported by the Polish and Ukrainian media; Ukrainian diaspora’s online portals around the world also became interested in it.

On 22 May, 2016, participants of the Vyshyvanka Parada, an event, held in the capital city for the fourth time, walked approximately 6 kilometers along the streets of Warsaw. It couldn’t have been missed by members of the Open Dialogue Foundation.

Spacerowa Street [which has been nominated for renaming] is located in the immediate vicinity of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw. According to Gazeta Wyborcza, the idea is supported by renowned politicians and activists.

On 9 March, 2014, an unusual event, organised by the Open Dialogue Foundation, was held on the streets of Warsaw. All those who wished to express their support for Ukraine, participated in the urban game ‘Play for Ukraine!’.

The Money.pl web portal has reported on the reopening of the Information Centre for citizens of Ukraine in Warsaw (Nowy Świat street, 63).

Frost and wind did not discourage Warsaw residents, as well as residents of other cities in Poland, from participating in a demonstration of support for the Ukrainians, who have been protesting on the EuroMaidan since November, 2013.

– Let’s send a strong signal from Warsaw that we support the peaceful protests of Ukrainians, show our solidarity with them, let’s meet today at 17 on The Constitution Square – say the organizers of the manifestation.
