Martin Mycielski

Master’s degree in diplomacy and foreign relations from Camilo José Cela University in Madrid, having also studied English Philology, Iberian Culture and Management at Warsaw University. Since 2008 in Brussels, having worked in the Polish MFA and EU institutions, then in an American law firm and pro-European NGOs. He founded the international Committee for the Defence of Democracy (KOD International) and launched the EU DisinfoLab (first European NGO committed strictly to countering disinformation). Brussels correspondent for the “Gazeta Wyborcza” daily for 2 years. In the Foundation he manages public affairs and communications as well as oversees our Brussels office.

Privately Martin is an avid political commentator, writing for publications such as EU Observer, Politico Europe, EurActiv, or The Next Web, occasionally also commenting on current events in TV stations like Al Jazeera or TVN. Author of the “Survival Guide to Authoritarianism”, which a 15-part web series was based on. Member of the Advisory Council of the Polish Women’s Strike. Rock climber, skier and classic sci-fi fan.
